MAximising Therapeutic Utility in Rheumatoid Arthritis

Get Involved MPAG

The MATURA consortium is very keen to engage and involve patients and the public along this very important journey. It is key that members of the publics and RA patients are involved in this research programme. There are a number of ways to get involved, please see below:

CLINICAL TRIALS

Ongoing Clinical Trials on stratified meds in RA With links to MATURA

  • STRAP: (Stratification of Biologic Therapies for Rheumatoid Arthritis by Pathobiology) where biopsies of disease tissue will be taken and analysed. The biopsy will be used to investigate response and non-response of patients to three biologic drugs and identify predictors in the disease tissue.

  • BRAGGSS: (Biologics in Rheumatoid Arthritis Genetics and Genomics Study Syndicate) where blood samples are taken to analyse the genetics components to try and recognise markers that may lead to predicting which patients may respond better to specific treatments in RA earlier on in their journey.

PATIENT SUPPORT

If you need any further support, there is lots of information about Rheumatoid Arthritis on the following charity websites:

If you have any specific questions about MATURA,
please contact the Project Manager (Gaye Hadfield)

The MATURA consortium includes academic groups and industry partners working together to identify and test biomarkers
predictive of response to biological therapy in patients with rheumatoid arthritis
